HIGH SCHOOL RECEPTIONIST/ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Pacific Academy is seeking applications from qualified individuals for a full time high school receptionist/administrative assistant position in the High School beginning August 27, 2018.

Candidates must:

  • Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
  • Submit to a Criminal Record Check
  • Be willing to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members.
  • Demonstrate general computer skills including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Demonstrate highest standards of confidentiality
  • Possess a love for teens and their family members

Main Duties:

  • Handle all forms of office communication (phone, mail, email, fax, etc.)
  • Fulfill general office duties (ordering supplies, filing, correspondence, etc.)
  • Support administration and teachers
  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner
  • Provide basic first aid to students (training provided)
  • Maintain and update school records using administrative software program (training provided)
  • Other duties as assigned by school principal

This position is Monday – Friday (7:30 am –3:30 pm) when school is in session.   The ability to speak a second language is an asset.

Pacific Academy is inviting applications from qualified teachers for the 2018-19 school year. 

  • High School (9-12) 
    • 1.0 FTE Science/Math (continuing) – current assignment is for Math/Physics

Candidates should:

  • Hold a valid British Columbia teaching certificate
  • Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
  • Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
