Administration:

Accounts Payable Coordinator

Pacific Academy is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Coordinator.

This position is responsible for supporting the finance department, managing the day-to-day data entry of vendor invoices, reconciliation of monthly statements, preparing monthly reporting and managing our weekly payment runs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Verify invoice accuracy, approvals, coding and enter them into the accounting systems (SAGE 300).
Correspond with vendors to resolve discrepancies, answer queries, and request invoices as needed.
Set up and maintain all vendors in accounting and filing systems.
Process weekly vendor payments and staff reimbursements via electronic transfers or cheque.
Reconcile all credit card accounts on a monthly basis, verify approvals and coding.
Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Ensure that all accounting processes are completed prior to month end for reporting and remittances.
Manage accounts payable for separate entities and vendors.
Conduct rigorous follow-ups with authorized internal parties to ensure proper backup and approval exist before processing invoices in the system.
Assist the Accounting department in maintaining the accurate flow of invoices according to deadlines and ad-hoc requests.
Wire transfer payments.
Provide support during month-end procedures.
Email out account activity monthly to department heads.
Reconcile and payout consignment sales.
Work closely with AR to ensure flow of accounting system and receivables are collected to then payout in AP.
Provide support for annual financial audit.

The successful candidate will have:

General accounting knowledge, or equivalent related experience
2+ years bookkeeping/accounts payable experience
Strong ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills required, including being a team player
Ability to work independently and unsupervised
Reliable, flexible, and willing to change with the environment
Have excellent communication and collaboration skills
Be fluent in oral and written English

Teachers (Temporary):

Middle School Teacher (Grade 6-8) – 1.0 FTE Temporary position (2026-2027 School Year)

Primary School Counsellor – 0.4 FTE Temporary Position

Pacific Academy is seeking applications from qualified individuals for a part-time Primary School Counsellor position for Kindergarten through Grade 2, commencing August 2026.

The School Counsellor is expected to:

Work collaboratively with students, their families, teachers, administrators, and community agencies to develop effective strategies in promoting the educational, social, emotional development of students;
Act as an advocate for children and their families;
Participate as an active member of the School-Based-Team;
Provide direct counseling and/or intervention to students to support mental health and wellbeing;
Collaborate with Teachers, fellow Counsellors, school Psychologist and school staff to provide supports and effective strategies in promoting safe, caring, and healthy school environments;
Be familiar with the Ministry of Education and Childcare Special Education Manual of Policies, Procedures and Guidelines manual;
Case manage/oversee IEPs for H & R designated students;
Assist with Level B testing, conduct risk assessment and behavioural screening tools with students as required;
Support social emotional learning (SEL) in classrooms through consultation, collaboration and direct in-class teaching;
Work with School-Based Team to create safety plans;
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates should:

Have a master's degree in counselling psychology or a related discipline with a focus on counselling. Membership in the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and /or being a Registered Clinical Counselor (RCC) is preferred;
Have teaching and/or counselling experience;
Possess professional teaching certification;
Have an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education;
Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith;
Be an active member in a local church;
Be a team player;
Have excellent communication skills;
Possess the technical skills commensurate with the position.
