We welcome applications for an Online/Website/Helpdesk Support position in the Tech department at Pacific Academy.  The position will work with the staff and the Director of Education Technology to support and maintain the school’s websites and online services for the Pacific Academy community.

Qualifications:

Candidates must:

  • Actively and personally support the Pacific Academy Statement of Faith
  • Be prepared to submit to a Criminal Record Check
  • Have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experienced and/or trained as a Google Workspace for Education Administrator
  • Experienced and/or trained as a Webmaster or Web Developer
  • Knowledge of web analytics and SEO
  • Familiarity with web standards
  • A working knowledge of Drupal Content Management tools
  • Experienced and/or trained HTML5/CSS, SSL, PHP, MySQL
  • Technical skills related to helpdesk requests for workstation and peripherals and basic network troubleshooting/maintenance
  • Knowledge of Windows and Chrome on desktops, laptops and Chromebooks
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
  • Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
  • Be professional and discreet and willing to put in flexible hours if required
  • Demonstrate strong collaborative and interpersonal skills; able to work well in teams

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Setup, manage, maintain, optimize and troubleshoot school websites
  • Test websites across browsers, operating systems and devices
  • Update website content, review and analyze site performance
  • Basic graphic editing skills with Photoshop as it pertains to the website maintenance
  • Be responsible to manage Pacific Academy’s Google Workspace for Education network Administrator console, users, drives, contact and group listings, applications...
  • Understand and be aware of future Google Workspace for Education upgrades, applications...
  • Support web based applications through Administrative controls, user updates, setup and deployment of various applications.
  • Assist the Helpdesk Manager with related workstation, Event’s setup/takedown or other user based issues
  • Address related user complaints that are directed via the Helpdesk or email

This is a full time, full year position and includes competitive pension and benefits package.
