Employment Opportunity – Athletics Administrative Assistant

Pacific Academy is requesting applications from qualified individuals for an Administrative Assistant in the Athletics department.  The selected candidate will work directly with the Athletic Director(s) in the implementation of Pacific Academy’s athletics program.

Qualifications:

  • Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
  • Support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith and participate in a local church
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be passionate about athletics
  • Possess outstanding organizational skills
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills/team player

Duties:

  • Organization and supervision of home games, tournaments, intramurals, and other athletic events
  • Perform administrative tasks for the athletic department (gym scheduling, registrations, reservations, inventory/equipment management, ordering, etc.)
  • Assist with finding coaches, and booking officials and scorekeepers for games
  • Organization, supervision, and implementation of the Force Junior afterschool program
  • Other tasks as assigned by Athletic Director(s)

This is a 30 hours/week position; flexible work hours can be arranged.  Availability for some evening and weekend work is required.

High School Math Teacher – Temporary Full-time (1.0 FTE)

Pacific Academy is requesting applications from qualified individuals for a temporary full-time high school teaching position from August 28, 2017 – June 30, 2018.

Qualifications

Candidates should:

  • Hold a valid British Columbia teaching certificate
  • Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
  • Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
  • Be able to  deliver Math curriculum from grades 9-12
  • Have training and/or experience in the area of Biblical Worldview integration
  • Be a team player
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
  • Possess IT skills commensurate with position

International Baccalaureate (IB) experience would be an asset.

High School PE (Girls)/Humanities Teacher – Temporary Full-time (1.0 FTE)

Pacific Academy is requesting applications from qualified individuals for a temporary full-time high school teaching position from August 28, 2017 – June 30, 2018.  This position may lead to an on-going contract.

Qualifications

Candidates should:

  • Hold a valid British Columbia teaching certificate
  • Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
  • Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
  • Be able to  deliver PE curriculum to grades 9-12 girls, along with Humanities
  • Have training and/or experience in the area of Biblical Worldview integration
  • Be a team player
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
  • Possess IT skills commensurate with position
