Administrative Assistant/School Secretary

Pacific Academy is seeking applications from qualified individuals for a full-time administrative assistant/school secretary position in the Middle School beginning August 30, 2021.  

Candidates must:

  • Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith

  • Be fluent in oral and written English

  • Submit to a Criminal Record Check

  • Be willing to work in a team environment as well as independently 

  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members.

  • Demonstrate general computer skills including MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) and Google Suites (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, classroom etc)

  • Demonstrate highest standards of confidentiality

  • Possess a love for pre-teens and their family members

  • Possess ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, is flexible and detail-oriented

  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills

Main Duties:

  • Handle all forms of office communication (phone, mail, email, etc.)

  • Fulfill general office duties (ordering supplies, filing, correspondence, laminating, etc.)

  • Support administration, teachers and other school staff

  • Greet and welcome guests in a friendly, professional manner

  • Provide basic first aid to students (training provided)

  • Maintain and update school records using administrative software program (training provided)

  • Other duties as assigned by school principal


This position is Monday – Friday (8 am – 4 pm) when school is in session.   The ability to speak a second language is an asset.
