We welcome applications for an HR and Payroll Administrator at Pacific Academy.  The position reports to the Director of Finance.  We are looking for someone who is creative, efficient and able to work independently and collaboratively.  We are a small, tight knit team who like to laugh and enjoy our days working together in an open office.  


  • Actively and personally support the Pacific Academy Statement of Faith
  • Hold an accounting degree or designation, Payroll Certification (PCP) and/or have relevant working experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Be capable or experienced in payroll systems and/or HR systems
  • Technical competence in Excel, MS Word, Adobe products, Email and accounting software
  • Detail orientated
  • Professional and discreet
  • A creative thinker
  • Ability to evaluate current business processes
  • Demonstrate strong collaborative and interpersonal skills; able to work well in teams

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversight and preparation/administration of payroll on a semi-monthly basis
  • Payroll reporting and budgeting
  • Oversight of benefits and pension administration
  • Preparation of internal and external reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive personnel records
  • Employment postings and scheduling interviews
  • Onboarding of new employees

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Finance and accounting staff. This is a 0.8 position, but may lead to full-time employment.  This is a 12 month position and includes a full benefits package.
