Middle School Teacher – 1.0 FTE Temporary position (April to June 2021)

Pacific Academy is requesting applications from qualified individuals for a temporary full-time Grade 8 teaching position from April 26 – June 30, 2021. This position is available due to an upcoming maternity leave.

Qualifications:

Candidates should:

Hold a valid British Columbia teaching certificate
Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
Be fluent in oral and written English
Successful candidates will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively, and be willing to cooperate in the planning and implementation of project based units with the grade team
Experience or willingness to participate in outdoor education planning and trips (ie. Hiking, canoeing, snowshoeing essential)

Teaching Responsibilities include, but are not limited to Grade 8 core subjects:

Faith and Learning
Literacy
Numeracy
Science
Social Studies
