Education Assistant On-Call
Pacific Academy is seeking trained applicants interested in joining our school team to provide support for students.
Responsibilities may include:
- Provide support to students within the regular classroom and the Learning Support Centre
- Assist with the implementation of IEP and Support Plans under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator
- Work as part of a team of Education Assistants under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator
- Assist students during emotional outbursts using non-violent crisis intervention strategies
Qualifications:
- Education Assistant certificate
- Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Behaviour Disorders an asset
- Criminal Record Check
- Understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
- Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
- Friendly, flexible, self-motivated, team player
- Fluent in oral and written English
The remuneration for this position ranges from $17.68 to $ 25.66 per hour, determined based on experience and qualifications.
