Mission Statement

"Pacific Academy Primary School is dedicated to nurturing children in the knowledge and love of God, providing a Christ-centered community, which enable spiritual, social, emotional, academic, aesthetic and physical development for the purpose of worship and service."

About the Primary School

Primary school is a special time in a child's life - a time of optimum learning and open-heartedness. In all that we do, we seek to provide every opportunity for students to:
Grow in biblical knowledge and personally experience God as Father, Jesus as Saviour and the Holy Spirit as Guide.
Live in community, joyfully extending Christ's love through evangelism and service.
Discover, develop and use talents and gifts to worship and glorify God.
Become lifelong learners intrinsically motivated to explore and appreciate the integral unity of God's creation.
Have a solid foundation in and appreciation of academics, fine arts and physical education.
Acquire a disciplined, thoughtful and creative Christian mind.

Distinctive features of the Primary School Program include: dedicated and nurturing teachers, outstanding parental involvement, regular and effective communication with the home, well-equipped classrooms, specialized instruction in Music and P.E., a thematic approach to content that interweaves a Biblical Foundation, Academics and the Fine Arts, and an extensive Learning Support Program featuring early reading intervention and a team of Teaching Assistants to provide classroom support for students.

About the Junior Kindergarten

We are very excited about our Junior Kindergarten program at Pacific Academy. Nearly 70, three and four-year-olds are currently enrolled in our inaugural year.

Junior Kindergarten Philiosophy
Early childhood is a time of wonder as children learn about the world in which they live. A child’s education is developed and enhanced, through guided instruction from a nurturing adult, but also through play which is the very essence of childhood. As children engage their senses and explore the intricacies of God’s creation, they will acquire basic values, concepts, and skills necessary for life, and gain an understanding of the nature and character of God as reflected in His creation.

Social Development
At Pacific Academy, Junior Kindergarten students begin to embrace the social skills needed to interact with others in healthy human relationships. They learn to treat one another with respect, to share and play together, and to be part of a larger group.

Foundations for Education
Students are introduced to basic literacy and numeracy skills that are foundational for their formal education. They gain appreciation for science, cultural studies, and fine arts. Children are encouraged to take risks when faced with unfamiliar challenges. Caring teachers offer guidance and support as students investigate new concepts and practice new skills.

Biblical Truth
Biblical truths are woven into every aspect of learning in order to facilitate the development of a biblical worldview. Each child is created in God’s own image with natural gifts and abilities designed to fulfill a role and purpose in God’s master plan. Pacific Academy Junior Kindergarten is committed to being an integral part of the home-church-school team that is key to the development of each child’s full potential, along with an attitude of worship to God and service to others.
