Mission Statement

"Pacific Academy Middle School seeks to be a caring community which challenges early adolescents to become Christ's servants in all areas of life. We are committed to providing a learning environment that encourages spiritual, intellectual, social and physical excellence."

About the Middle School

The middle years are a unique and exciting time of school life - a time of transition and change. Young people go through rapid growth and maturation in early adolescence and need an educational program that is distinctly focused upon their individual needs.

At this stage,
...intellectual capabilities change at varying rates and move from concrete to abstract thinking;
...physical growth is characterized by rapid and marked individual differences, often with awkwardness and a lack of co-ordination;
...social development is marked by the child's friendship base broadening from family to the peer group, and conflict can result from the splitting of these allegiances;
...emotional growth is commonly traumatic and feelings of self doubt arise from new feelings and mood swings;
...spiritual development is in a stage of transition from blind acceptance to self-decision making.

Our challenge in the Christian middle school is to foster a safe and caring environment that meets these unique needs. We encourage our students to develop a personal relationship with God, a positive self-image, responsible behavior, healthy physical growth, and intellectual excellence with the mind of Christ.
